EDRR is East China’s largest national-level professional emergency expo, held annually during the May 12 Disaster Prevention Week and co-hosted by emergency authorities of four Yangtze River Delta provinces & Shanghai. It targets frequent disasters including urban waterlogging, high-rise fires, chemical leaks, wildfires and water rescue. The 100,000 sq.m venue is split into six zones: smart emergency, fire equipment, flood control, aerial rescue, mine explosion protection and PPE. Spacious outdoor plazas support live demos of rescue UAVs, drainage trucks and demolition robots. Tens of thousands of industrial, real estate and park enterprises across the Delta attend alongside government procurement delegations and ASEAN buyers from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, enabling both domestic government bidding and overseas export orders. It serves as a vital hub for Chinese fire, flood and mine rescue manufacturers to expand East China and Southeast Asian markets, with dozens of public disaster prevention science activities held each year.
